Amazon has confirmed that it has fired a number of employees after they shared customer personal information.
The employees allegedly shared customers email address and phone numbers with a third-party which is “in violation of our policies.”
In an email to customers affected Amazon says that “No other information related to your account was shared. This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to take any action.”
The breach comes after Amazon confirmed a separate incident this week where it fired four employees at the subsidiary Ring.
