Amazon has been offering Unlimited music streaming for its prime users for some time, however the company is now setting its sites on broadening its services for Echo users.

Currently Amazon prime costs around $100 (£79) a year which for some is a bit steep if they don’t use all the benefits and so Amazon is launching a music streaming service starting at around $5 a month aimed at Echo users.

The company is also rumoured to offer a second tier at $10 a month which would include Unlimited, ad-free music and the ability to download for offline playback.

The move is a bold one as it would be up against giants such as Spotify and Apple Music, however the fact that it’s aimed solely for Echo users could be in its favour as it may help increase its user base at the same time.
