Apple has released iOS 11.2.2 includes security improvements to Safari and WebKit to mitigate the effects of the Spectre vulnerabilities, which the company acknowledged a few days ago affected their devices. The Meltdown vulnerabilities were already addressed in the iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2 and tvOS 11.2 updates.

The new software can be applied over the air by going to Settings → General → Software Update on your iOS device or through desktop iTunes. For information on the security content of iOS 11.2.2 and other software updates for Apple devices, check out the company’s support document on its website.
