Apple has just wrapped up in their annual event and they have announced a slew of new products many of which we already knew beforehand thanks to Several leaks including The final version of iOS 11 over the weekend.
Looking over what Apple has announced today we now have three iPhones the first one is the iPhone eight starting price is set at $699, for 64GB $849 for 256GB. The second iPhone is the iPhone 8+ which has a starting price of $799 for 64GB $949 for 256GB. The final announcement was the iPhone X which is priced at $999 for 64GB $1,149 for 256GB.
All three iPhone will have wireless charging and will work with QI charging mats which is great news, the iPhone X will be the only device which has Face ID and will have a battery life 2 hours longer than the current iPhone 7. iPhone X will have a better camera over both the iPhone 8 and 8+ and will include a QUAD-LED true tone.
Pre-Orders for both the iPhone 8 and 8+ will be on September 15th and available from September 22nd. The iPhone x will be available for Pre-order from 8:01 am on 27.10.
Following previous years Apple has now reduced the prices of its older iPhones, the iPhone SE will be from $349, iPhone 6s $449, iPhone 7 from $549, iPhone 8 from $699 and the iPhone X from $999.
Apple also introduced an LTE Apple Watch series 3 which is priced at $399 with cellular and $329 without cellular, Apple also dropped the price of the series 1 now down to $249, Series 2 Apple Watch has been dropped. Apple Watch preorders start on September 15th and inshore from September 22nd.
Apple took the opportunity to provide us with a sneak peak at their new all in one charging mat called “AirPower” for all apple devices with airpods now having a wirless charging case and AirPower will be available at some point in 2018.
The Apple TV was not left out as they have now upgraded this to 4K and it’s priced at $179, any tv/films already purchased from iTunes will get a free upgrade to 4K, 4K films will cost the same as the current HD titles, pre-orders for the new 4K Apple TV will be from September 15th.
iOS 11 final version is available immediately for developers and will be available to the public on September 19th. Apple held tribute to Steve Jobs with an opening voice recording from Steve Jobs and a closing quote by him “One of the ways that I believe people express their appreciation to the rest of humanity is to make something wonderful and put iy out there”.
