Apple didn’t give an official release date for the AirPower Mat just that it would be late 2018 and we are almost at the end of the year, Apple has seen several delays in their products including the original AirPods and even the HomePod.

AirPods have been a massive success since they launched and version 2 offered a new case capable of being wirelessly charged using the AirPower Mat.

Let us know if you think Apple will release these new products, or if they will even mention them in the Event itself.

Latest Apple Rumours

Apple rumours are almost a daily occurrence and today is no different, Apple is rumoured to be releasing an update to the popular AirPods which will see an upgrade from the current Apple-designed W1 wireless chip to the W2 chip, found in the Apple Watch Series 3. We currently know Apple will be issuing an update to the existing line with wireless charging case.

Another rumour is that in 2019 Apple will also be issuing an upgrade to the AirPods so they will be “water-resistant” (resistant to splashes, but not being submerged), AirPods are at least partly water-resistant already.

Apple is rumoured to be releasing their AirPower Mat in March, the rumour comes after a brief report published Thursday, Mac Otakara, citing a reliable source. The AirPower mat was announced by Apple last year stating the mat will be able to wirelessly charge the Apple Watch series 3, iPhone X, iPhone 8/8+ and new AirPods with a wireless charging case, there currently is no release date set for the new wireless charging AirPods.

Apple Watch sales up 50%, wearables up 70%

Early hours this morning (uk time) Apple held its Q1 earnings call and one thing we noted is chief executive Tim Cook mentioned that it’s revenue in the Wearables category reached 70 percent growth over the year-ago quarter. The Wearables category is a Combination of sales of AirPods, Apple Watch and Beats headphones,

Whilst critics have sought to portray Apple Watch as a disappointing failure since launch, however, the truth is that the Apple Watch is in fact the world’s leading intelligent wearable device in any category, worldwide. Tim Cook also noted that the newly launched Apple Watch Series 3 models helped Apple post its best quarter of watch sales ever, with unit sales doubling over last year’s sales of Series 2 models. The Apple Watch has also consistently reached 50 percent growth in both units and revenue for the fourth consecutive quarter, highlighting a solid base of demand for the company’s highly personal, ultra mobile and super integrated Wearables. Apple doesn’t release the actual number of watches Apple was actually selling each quarter.
