Spotify testing Duo

Love it or Hate it Spotify is trying their hardest to reach as many people as possible and making a much money as possible.

In a new effort to increase revenue the company is now testing Spotify Duo. Duo targets couples who share a single premium account for £9.99 a month because a family plan is too expensive and of little use.

The company is also adding a new playlist called Duo Mix aimed at two members of the Premium Duo account. It features songs that you have both liked. You can choose between a chill mix and an upbeat mix. You can also filter out explicit content.

Spotify would introduce a new price point at €12.49 per month — it would likely cost £12.49 in the U.K and $12.49 in the U.S. at the moment duo is only available in Ireland and the only requirement is that you need to live at the same address.
