As reported by Re/code, the popular sports clothing and accessories company Under Armour has just has acquired MyFitnessPal for $475 million and if that’s not enough to wet the sports appetite they have also purchased Endomondo for $85 million.

MyFitnessPal has 80 million users and helps them achieve their health and fitness goals by tracking their diet and exercise and providing optimal nutritional and calorie data. MyFitnessPal also allows people to connect with friends and post statuses.

Endomondo Which boasts 20 million users is a social network that connects fitness buffs around the world and helps them map, record and share their workouts.

Both of the official iOS apps of are available on the App Store for free.

Following their acquisition by Under Armour, both of the teams behind MyFitnessPal and Endomondo will continue to operate out of their headquarters in San Francisco, California, and Copenhagen, Denmark, respectively. The total number of registered users for Under Armour will now be 120 million and is said to make Under Armour’s network the world’s largest digital health and fitness community.

It is worth noting that the acquisition comes ahead of the highly anticipated April launch of the Apple Watch, whose key features include health and fitness apps for tracking activity and workouts.
