Following the Logitech Circle 2 update earlier this month bringing support for Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video feature, Netatmo’s Smart Indoor Camera has received a firmware update that also brings this support. Firmware version 433.0, is only available for the Netatmo Smart Indoor Camera, and support for the company’s outdoor Presence Camera is not yet available.
HomeKit Secure Video provides a common set of standard features, such as iCloud video storage, end to end encryption, and video analysis, and users who pay for iCloud storage get iCloud video storage at no extra cost. Upgrading Netatmo’s Smart Indoor Camera keeps full controls available in the Netatmo App, and the update comes in the form of a standard firmware update, unlike Logitech’s Circle 2 upgrade which removes the camera from Logitech’s app.
