Apple has released iOS 14.2 and watchOS 7.1 Developer Beta 3 today following Apple’s October Event.

iOS14.2 Beta 1 revamped the now playing controls on the lock screen along with a redesigned AirPlay 2 controls in the Control Center.

Other changes in iOS 14.2 is a brand new Shazam toggle that can be added to Control Centre which allows you to find music playing on device and in the background. A new People Detection feature in the Magnifier app for measuring the distance between two people, as well as an updated icon for the Apple Watch application showing the new Apple Watch Solo Loop.

There were no new features discovered in the first two betas of watchOS 7.1, so we don’t yet know what new additions may be included in the update. It likely focuses on under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes for issues that weren’t able to be addressed in the initial ‌watchOS 7‌ release.
